Salsa
Salsa means ”sauce” in the Spanish language and it arose when several composers began to combine different rhythms. Typically the music involves complex African percussion rhythms based around the Son clave or Rumba clave that have been modernized today by electronic technology. Currently, the salsa musical phenomenon is studied by musicologists and reported on by journalists in Cuba’s musical sector, Latin America and some European countries.
